Cbank: Foreign currency deposits of Russians fall 3% in February

MOSCOW, Apr 6 (PRIME) – Russians’ foreign currency deposits shrank by 3% in February to U.S. $52 billion, the lowest since November 2008, the central bank said on Thursday.

Corporate deposits in foreign currencies shrank by 0.8% in the month to $117.2 billion, remaining close to the lowest level since October 2020.

At the same time, the share of foreign currency deposits in the combined amount of deposits increased by 0.6 percentage points in the month to 16.1%.
